Redundant Systems and Infrastructure

Everything from the design and security of our buildings to the network, power and cooling infrastructure we utilize was carefully planned with full redundancy in mind, providing our customers the highest quality experience possible.

SSAE-16 Compliant Data Centers
Through our diligent efforts and an ongoing commitment to excellent business practices, our data center recently completed a SOC 1 attestation performed under the newly released AICPA SSAE 16 attestation standard that replaces the SAS 70 standard. In undertaking this examination, we wanted to ensure the resulting report represented a comprehensive review of our control environment. To that end, we utilized the SOC 2 Trust Services Principles and Criteria for security and availability as a benchmark in developing the system description. In so doing, we have addressed each of the more than 100 individual controls criteria listed in the SOC 2 Principles and Criteria. This attestation ensures that anyone choosing to business with us can do so with complete confidence.

Tier-1 Bandwidth
Providing the highest quality Internet connectivity and performance is our top priority. We have selected premium Tier-1 bandwidth providers, ensuring minimal latency and fast connections to all points of the global Internet. We are proud to feature direct connectivity with Cogent, Level3, Verizon, and Comcast. Our aggregate connectivity reaches an astounding 8,500+ networks just a single network away from our uplinks.

Power Systems
Our power systems feature extensive fault tolerance and resilience at every layer. From multiple uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) with redundant battery cabinets, to Liebert Precision and Eaton Power distribution units that handle final power transformation and distribution to racks, we ensure clean and consistent power to our data center equipment. Additionally, each facility has multiple emergency generators waiting on standby.

Cooling, yes we are Cool
Environmental processing systems include redundant Liebert Precision 22 ton up flow air conditioning units. Temperature and humidity are precisely regulated year round to ensure optimal equipment reliability. Each unit contains independent compressors and cooling loops to further enhance fault tolerance and reliability. Air filtration systems actively remove foreign particles from circulation and cycle the entire data center air supply in a matter of minutes.

Security On-Site
Data center access is strictly limited to technical staff. Specialized electronic security systems control access to the data center and are accompanied by a full compliment of motion detecting security cameras which monitor the entire facility. Our data centers’ external walls are reinforced poured concrete and the building and grounds are patrolled regularly by an on-site security officer. In addition to an on-site security officer, our fully managed facilities have highly trained technicians on-site 24 hours a day

Internet Backbone

Level 3

Level 3’s network now spans more than 47,000 intercity route miles and reaches customers in major markets throughout the United States and Europe.

The Verizon IP Network is one of the most expansive networks in the world, including over 800,000 route miles spanning six continents. With both terrestrial and undersea cable, the Verizon Network operates at the fastest speeds available up to 100 Gb. Its state-of-the-art fiber optic network provides services to customers in more than 2,700 cities and 150 countries.

Cogent’s worldwide Tier 1 optical IP network is one of the largest of its kind, with direct IP connectivity to more than 4,480 AS (Autonomous System) networks around the world. Cogent’s network stretches over 180 markets throughout 36 countries in North America, Europe, and Asia, with over 56,600 route miles of long-haul fiber and over 26,600 miles of metropolitan fiber.

With an extensive fiber optic network that spans over 147,000 national route miles and boasts the world’s first, and largest, 40 Gb backbone as well as the deployment of the first 100 Gb router interface, Comcast has established itself as one of the most advanced and reliable providers. Our customers benefit greatly from our relationship with this network, which seamlessly handles over 2 Tb of traffic per second.

Serving as an important cog for regional connectivity, Equinix brings together over 750 network, content, and cloud providers peering in 17 global metro areas. This allows us to quickly and effectively route traffic to our many peering partners when necessary to deliver our customers a lightning fast connection.

SOC3 Report

In addition to issuing a SOC2 SSAE 16 report for our clients who may be concerned about our controls regarding their financial statement reporting, Our Datacenter also engaged an independent CPA firm to perform a review in order to produce a SOC3 report. The SOC3 report offers a slightly more streamlined level of reporting. Our SOC3 report was produced to address risks related to IT in critical areas including:

Security: The system is protected, both logically and physically, against unauthorized access
Availability: The system is available for operation and use as committed or agreed to.

EU-US Privacy Shield Framework and the Swiss-US Privacy Shield Framework
Our Datacenter complies with the EU-US Privacy Shield Framework and the Swiss-US Privacy Shield Framework as set forth by the US Department of Commerce. The collection, use, and retention of personal information transferred from European Union and Switzerland to the United States follows those regulations. Our Datacenter has certified to the Department of Commerce that it adheres to the Privacy Shield Principles.

HIPAA Compliant Solutions/HiTech
Our Datacenter has been validated by an independent auditing firm and confirmed that our managed dedicated, and cloud dedicated solutions are compliant with HIPAA security and privacy guidelines including administrative, physical and technical safeguard measures.

The Attestation of Compliance Report (AOC) is a summary of the Report on Compliance (ROC) that is produced during onsite PCI DSS assessments. The AOC is effectively a summary of ROC indicating controls have been meet to meet the requirements of PCI DSS.

General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
