The "My MatterDesktop" allows you to quickly and easily manage your Matters and all its related supporting records effortlessly with drag-n-drop simplicity. Customizing your view of your data has never been so easy and painless.
Unlike Time Matters where you must write HTML or XML templates to customize your view of your data (Power Views). TM Power Views are not very powerful since they are static and require a consultant to configure them for you if you don't have any HTML knowledge.
The MatterDesktop is not an actual desktop or workspace but rather a collection of Matter Widgets. Email, eDiscovery, Documents, To-Do's, Events, Notes and Contacts for example that you place in a workspace. You arrange and size them as you see fit. The entire collection can be hidden out of the way with a single click. You can display just one or display them all. You can even place Matter Widgets onto different workspaces so you can view your data in different context.
The MatterDesktop and its widgets are hidden from sight until you enter a Matter Reference or Matter ID into the matter lookup field, the MatterDesktop comes alive with all the data related to the selected Matter. This isn't static text but actual forms and list. You can add related contacts, send Email or simply mark to-do's as complete all from within the MatterDesktop.

HoudiniESQ does not include a bunch of pre-canned reports. HoudiniESQ is ad-hoc enabled. What this means is you can customize HoudiniESQ tables and forms to your liking.
You can filter, sort and group ANY table in HoudiniESQ. To view a report with the parameters you have chosen simply click print. HoudiniESQ has instant PDF delivery. What you see on screen is what will be delivered in PDF format instantly.
Your choices are saved to your profile so you never have to reset your settings between logins.

Alerts and Reminders
HoudiniESQ has a comprehensive Alert system. You can set any number of Alerts on Events to remind you to get to that meeting, file that document or make that phone call.
The alert system is tightly integrated throughout the application. Want to notify everyone associated with a Event that it has been rescheduled? Simply select notify on the Event form and any time the Event has changed all Event attendees and Matter Members will be notified.
Want to be notified when an assigned To do has been completed. Simply click Notify when you create the To do.
Want to be notified when a Matter has been changed or data has been added? Simply click Notify on the Matter form.
