If you have never used a performant web-based product before there are some things you will have to get used to.
HoudiniESQ only returns 50 records in most cases. This is because most firms have thousands of Contacts, Notes, Documents etc. As you can imagine, if Houdini returned all records every time someone opened a list your internet bandwidth would become a bottleneck and the application would seem slow.
Returning all records is not only a waste of resources its a waste of time. Its easy to find what you are looking for.
Use the search bar located above all list to narrow your search and return the data you seek. Houdini's search is very powerful and we have a complete chapter on harnessing search and all of its features.
Generally you will want to conduct a simple search. For example, the Roster may have thousands of Contacts and Clients. If you are looking for John Doe simply type "Jo" and hit [enter] (Last Names are always searched first) or you can search for last name and first name like so "j d". Just use a space to separate the last name from the first name. You can also type a partial phone number to find an exact match if you like 919123 (in this example only the area code and first 3 digits were used. Include area code or use wild cards).
