Below you will find the steps you should take before you begin entering data.
Most items are accomplished from within the Organization Manager with the exception of Rates.
Matter Rate Types must be defined by your firm. We have provided some default values.
Discount, Base and Premium
You may enter as many as you wish.
Rates must be entered by each Staff Member. You should make sure all Matter Rate Types have been defined that way each Staff Member only need select the Matter Rate Type (e.g. Discount, Base, Premium, etc) and enter their Rate Amount.
If you have a multi seat license and you have satellite offices in which billing addresses may be different you can add Divisions. Divisions have their own postal addresses and billing addresses.
This step is optional.
When you add Staff you must define which Division they belong to.
If you have a multi seat license then you should enter your Staff at this time.
Events can have a Type also know as a record-sub-types. For example you may want to have Meeting, Document Review, Phone Call, Interview, etc.
By defining Types for your Events you can add Custom Fields, Status Codes and Classification Codes for each.
Contacts can have a Type also know as a record-sub-type. For example you may want to have Judges, Friends, Opposing Party as Contact types.
By defining Types for your Contacts you can add Custom Fields, Status Codes and Classification Codes for each.
Matters can have a Type also know as a record-sub-type. For example you may want to have Personal Injury, Appeal, etc.
By defining Types for your Matters you can add Custom Fields, Status Codes and Classification Codes for each.
